The Roxy Girls | Pin Up Art

I am proud to announce the release of my new website...

www.theroxygirls.com

Most of you probably already know about my obsession with anything vintage... whether it be furniture, clothing or photographs! I get many requests for boudoir and classic 'girly' photography session and I wanted to create a website dedicated to the vintage side of boudoir photography and the classic Pin-Up! Below are a few additional sample images...

I just love how this style of photography can bring out the beauty of a woman, her personality and figure without requiring the model to reveal too much! I truly believe that this is a timeless way to capture classic beauty and create a piece of art! The images created have an innocent flirtatious nature while still maintaining the vision of a strong and confident woman! I love it~

Individual sessions can be booked as well as Pin-Up tour dates. Available dates and cities are listed on the website so that you can begin making preparations for your session! Vintage hair and make-up styling is provided by professional artists to give girls the ultimate pampered experience!

Please contact me with any questions you may have or to book your session...I can't wait to meet the girls that have expressed interest so far...I know there is a little Pin-Up in everyone out there....Don't be shy~

Wedding | Heather & Barry

Heather and Barry were so much fun! I was able to capture so many images from their wedding that were priceless....They had the largest bridal party I have ever seen (22, including the bride and groom!) and it was a blast!....Their wedding was held at The White Chapel on the campus of Rose Hulman and the reception took place at Idle Creek Golf Course Banquet Center....Both venues were great....we even took Heather and Barry's engagement photos on Rose Hulman's campus, so we were very comfortable with our surroundings by the time the wedding came around!

This is a sample image of their Thank You card...sent out to all of the guests after they returned from their honey moon!

Take a look of the last 2007 wedding I shot! Fun & Winter~ I love my couples!!

I mustache you a question...

How do I look??

We are preparing to wear a fake beard for a birthday photo session coming up! Lincoln will be dressed as the famous Abraham Lincoln (Top Hat and all!)...although the beard will appear much different in those photos, we still had fun playing with all of the options...

This is our goal...well, inspiration!

Attention Brides!

Better late than never!

February 23 & 24
Simple to Elegant Open House

Jeanette from Simple to Elegant is hosting an Open House at her location on Third Street in Terre Haute, Indiana...I just found out about it yesterday, so I do apologize for not letting you know earlier....

If you can, I would highly suggest checking out the event. Simple to Elegant has coordinated many weddings that I have photographed and they always do a great job of organizing the events and have wonderful options for decorations and vendors you can use! You will be able to see a lot of work done by Jeanette and her staff and they can help you plan the perfect wedding day!

I have a composite print of some of my wedding images hanging in her shop...but for those of you who may not be able to make it out on such short notice...here is a preview of what I'm displaying at her location!

I will be popping in on Sunday to see what's happening...I hope to see some of you there~ If you do make it out, make sure to let them know I sent you that way!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Studio Project...

First, I'm trying to find the sweet spot as far as photo size for my blog postings...I want to provide a good size image so that viewers can truly enjoy the what they are looking at...So these images are larger than what you are used to seeing...I think just a bit smaller and it will be perfect, but we will go with this size for this post!

Second, these images are a taste of some recent studio work that I have done...The winter months keep me couped up inside, so this is the result...

These are teaser images from a recent photo shoot of Khristina & Tony DeOreo...They are modeling some clothing provided by Fox Motor Sports. There are plans for the images to be used in some way by the store...I'm excited to see what ways they decide to use them...

I met Khristina just before Christmas when she was seeking a unique gift for Tony...She came to me wanting to purchase a photography session for him! Tony is a "stunt" driver and Khristina wanted me to come out to capture him in action! I was happy to be a part of that adventure ~ ...and since that first meeting we have been able to do multiple studio sets together! (Including this fun set for Fox!)

Here is the super cute couple...

These were just a few of my favorites from the shoot...It was hard to narrow them down, there were so many that were great!

AND NOW....for the money shot!

This is to prove to all of those 'naysayers' that, YES I can get a motorcycle in my studio...and YES it will fit on my backdrop! FUN~

(I've said it before, and I'll say it again...I'm always up for a challenge~)

As always...thanks so much for looking!

Sprout Session | Sprout (3 Months)

Yes~ Scout from the timeless classic "To Kill a Mockingbird" by Harper Lee...This was a book that Tiffany loved as a child and thus named her baby girl after the lead female character from the book ~ And it's just a super cute name!

Baby Scout is only a few months old and is already showing similarities to the character she was so lovingly named after...Scout was a strong willed and independent girl and I can already see that this new baby is following the same footsteps...or she will once she learns to walk~ She is expressive with her facial movements and determined to get what she wants...you know, milk...diaper changes...and to be held! You see....This is really all she knows at this point!

It was such a fun time photographing Scout and spending time with Tiffany! They are such a great mother/daughter duo and I have to admit I'm a bit jealous of all of the girly stuff they will get to do together as Scout grows up!...Oh and I can't forget to mention Clay~ he wasn't able to be there for the photoshoot, but I'm sure dad will enjoy these preview images of his baby girl!

You can't forget the cute bow!
