The Landing | Wedding Venue & More!

I was very excited to attend the Ribbon Cutting for The Landing at Fort Harrison last week! The Landing is Terre Haute's newest venue where brides and grooms can hold their Weddings & Receptions!

The Landing not only provides a beautiful venue for wedding couples and their guests, but is the home of a The Restaurant with full bar and Lounge, swimming pool, golf course and meeting spaces for businesses and bowling alley with entertainment. It is also the future home of Temple Studios!

Current Mayor, Duke Bennett, cutting the ribbon for the Grand Opening!

Owner & Operations Manager, Jim Jenkins, preparing for an interview with WTHI.

The Bowling Alley & Entertainment!

The areas of my peak interest were still in finishing touches stages, so I held off on photographing them until they are ready to go! You can see computer generated mock-ups of the entire building on The Landing's website!

Make sure to check it out and let them know I sent you! www.thelandingatfortharrison.com

Wedding | Michelle and Jared

I LOVE Michelle & Jared! When we met, it was an instant connection!! Check out their Engagement Session and read about all of the great things that we have in common....but now, it's time for the wedding images!!

Almost EVERYTHING about their day was hand-made in some way....

Bouquets made by the bride and her gals the day prior to the wedding. All the flowers were ordered from a fantastic website that offers seasonal flowers delivered right to your door! Perfect for the DIY bride that is looking to go big with floral arrangements and save some $$ at the same time!

They had the most fun guest-book idea too! They used an image we captured from their Engagement Session and made it into a puzzle. Guests were asked to sign pieces of the puzzle so that when they went to put it together they could reminisce about who attended the wedding! How fun!!

One of Michelle's sisters signing the bottom of her shoe....Did you know that the last name left on the shoe would be the first to get married?

Jared...

Jared's dad...(the best man!!)

Michelle wore a vintage inspired birdcage veil! I just LOVE them!!

I just love this shot with the popping blue from the bridesmaid's sashes! Well thought out by Michelle, and it brought all of the blue accents from the wedding together so nice!!

Their wedding took place in Terre Haute at Mt. Pleasant Church. It was a beautiful location out in the country and was THE PERFECT day for some fun outdoor portraits!

Doesn't Michelle look happy!?

I love this picture of Jared and his father~

Some fun bridal party portraits!

And I'll sneak this one in here to show everyone that I DO take traditional portraits also! Seeeee.....
One big happy family :-)

There are a few names left at this point!

I love this image of them from behind entering the reception....looks like an old Hollywood photo!

Michelle & Jared opted for the Photo Booth! It was such a blast!! Another hand-made element were all of the Mustaches that they made for guests to model as they were getting their photos taken! Check out the super fun slide show from the PHOTO BOOTH!!

A candy get-away shot! YES, those are tootsie rolls! They provided take out boxes for all of the kids so they could pick them up, like in a parade!!

Here is another one of my favorite images from the day, in true vintage style, Michelle tossed her bouquet to the crowd as the made their exit! It was perfect!

A wondefully emotional moment of Jared saying goodbye to his family....

And I just adore this shot of Michelle's mom....I love that you can see Michelle peeking out the window and Michelle's mom is refelected in the back window with the biggest smile!

Detail collage....

I could go on all day!

There was a 5 piece band playing durring the ceremony....one of the songs they played was Ben Folds "The Luckiest"....I definetly teared up!!

For the LOVE of Letterpress!

I was the recent recipient of a FABULOUS Letterpress Thank You card from my dear friend Angelia!

I'll have to admit that one of my weaknesses is drooling over handmade letterpress cards....I'm a sucker for the artisitc touches and the vintage personality that the letterpress process gives to a card or piece of stationary....

BRIDES! This is the perfect time of year to hit up this great website - www.hellolucky.com

They provide yummy Letterpress Wedding Invitation and Stationary (think Save-The-Date & Thank You cards!) The quality Hello ! Lucky produces is unmatched and people love recieving snail mail!! I've spent hours on their website already choosing my next set of cards!!

(THANKS ANGELIA)
