Megan & Chris | E-Session

WARNING! Cuties ahead! For real...this couple has got it goin' on!

Megan & Chris are so fun! We started out their engagement session at their home...which is a new investment for this soon to be married couple! It's in a great neighborhood on the east side of Terre Haute and it was fun to explore their property and home with them & their pup!

Art by friend and florist Jenny Morse (more on her in a later post!)

After spending some time at their home, we took a short drive to St. Mary of the Wood's College. It is one of my favorite locations for lifestyle session of all kinds....their are plenty of great spots for outdoor images and some very lovely buildings containing classic architecture...there is a little bit of everything out there and it's a VERY popular wedding venue as well!

So, we just went exploring....here are some of my favorites~

I told you they were cute!

Megan & Chris, I'm really looking forward to shooting with you again in the fall! Enjoy your summer and I'll see you soon~

Go Vote! (please)

I'm excited to have an image up for consideration for the next issue!

I would love it if you would support me with your vote!

The White Chapel...

Rose Hulman is home to one of the most popular and unique wedding venues in the Terre Haute area...The White Chapel!

I get a high amount of questions about the details of booking this particular venue and I thought the easiest way to make all the info readily available was to post a blog about it!

I captured these images this spring while shooting a wedding there and I wanted to share with everyone how unique this venue truly is!

The White Chapel sits at the edge of a pond that runs through Rose Hulman's campus and guests can view the beautiful scenery while attending your wedding! The building is great for day-time AND night-time weddings and you have control of creating a mood for your event simply by choosing a particular time of day!

NOTE TO BRIDES (AND GROOMS!):: Make sure to check out the site at the time of day you are thinking of having your wedding BEFORE setting the time and sending out your invitations. Since there is a lot of natural light that comes through the windows along the pond (which is where you will be standing during the ceremony), you will want to make sure that there is not a heavy amount of light hitting anyone standing up on the alter during the wedding. This could potentially blind your wedding party, create too much heat on someone standing up with you (you don't want anyone to faint! I witnessed that first hand last year~ YIKES!!), and it also creates uneven lighting for photographs.

Making sure that the stage area is under even lighting will create an ideal situation for everyone participating in standing up with you and YOU & YOUR FUTURE SPOUSE will enjoy the ceremony to the fullest without being distracted by blinding light or uncomfortable heat from the sun! It's a simple precautionary measure you can take to make the most of your ceremony for you and your guests!

Some shots from the inside of the sanctuary~ The White Chapel can accommodate up to 200 guests and has a (small) dressing room for the bridal party, restrooms and an extra room for bridal party members to relax in before the ceremony...Check out the website provided by Rose Hulman with more details on renting the location for your event.

And a shot from across the pond at night...Isn't it pretty?? Who wouldn't want to get married here!?

Sprout Session | Amber (Maternity)

Beautiful Belly!

Amber is a good friend of my sister & family! I was able to snap a few fun shots of her at Craig's Park in Brazil Indiana while I was visiting my family one afternoon...Here are some of my favorites~

Lincoln was there too :-) He was fascinated with the event shelter that we found to shoot in~

Favorite!

Congrats to Amber and her new baby girl (she gave birth this past week!) How exciting...I wish you and your family all the best!

Engagement Session | Ashley & Noel

I had so much fun exploring Chicago with Ashley & Noel! We shot their E-Session over Memorial weekend, so the city was buzzing with people (as per usual, I know) and the weather could not have been more perfect!!

Noel was prepared with a very detailed itinerary!

So now the fun begins....Can you guess all of the sites we visited?? (Some of them may be tricky!!)

I told you people were buzzing!

More buzzing! (I love the Sailors on the Left~)

This is where they met! Samah...

And we're out!

Ashley & Noel, I'm looking forward to working with you again at the wedding! Thank you so much for being such great tour guides! I had a blast~

Note:: Leave some comments w/locations that we visited by June 30 (@ Midnight)...I have a special gift for the person who gets the most correct!

And if you need more images to help you figure it out...Watch their Slide Show!
