Engagement | Christy & Scott

Well, if it wasn't for the sequence of events that lead to this place, we may have never gotten some of these shots! I have decided that the Bloomington area is my Bermuda Triangle...this was the second time this summer that I have headed in that direction for a photo shoot and have become disoriented and find myself in some beautiful place (off the beaten path) that made for some great scenic shots!

Here are a few more from Christy and Scott's session...Saturday is the big day, and I'm looking forward to the outdoor event! I hope the rain holds out?!

Christy had some great ideas up her sleeves...and she wasn't even wearing any!! We pulled out these fun bikes and got a little funky...I'm glad they were up for a fun photo shoot!!

Engagement | Amber & Leroy

While this summer has been buzzing with weddings and portrait sessions, I have also been diligently working on upgrading and improving my wedding package(s) that I offer to potential couples and I have come up with a new & improved package that I feel is very hard to resist! Wow...what a run-on sentence!?

One of the newest additions to my previous package is a complimentary engagement session. I want to offer my couples the very best experience and having the opportunity to shoot together before the wedding is a great way to get to know each other even better!

Amber and Leroy had booked their wedding before I had revamped my contract, but I wanted to extend the offer to all couples that had booked with me before the change was made. I'm excited to be able to interact with everyone in a more casual photo shoot prior to the wedding day...and I'm also looking forward to discovering the many ways it will enhance our wedding day photography experience! My goal is to shake those nervous wedding day jitters for the bride and groom and provide them with a relaxed and wonderful photography experience.

I think they look comfortable already!

If you are interested in finding out more about the available packages, please email me or visit my website for more details! I look forward to meeting new faces!!

Lifestyle | Evie {The Artist}

Well, it seems that most of my posts as of late have been of my friends and their ventures through life...and this one fits in that category as well! Evie and I have been friends since high school...pushing 10 years! Yikes?!

Our photo session went so smoothly because we think so much alike! We have been "working" together and supporting each other's progress as artists and small business owners since the beginning...It's so great to have a close friend that's on the same path that you can share and grow with.

Evie's art studio is located in the basement of her home...As you can see this space is more than just a place for her to construct her art...it's a place for her to live in it...during our shoot we had a little light-hearted conversation and she confessed that "most of what my art is, is me being depressed about it"...followed by a chuckle...if you knew Evie you would totally understand the humor!

Take a look at Evie's art here. She has a variety of paintings and drawings available to view and you can stay posted on her upcoming gallery showings and events. Support your local art community!

944 Magazine...

Call me what you will...geek, dork, whatever...I was excited! So excited that it took me about 2 months to post anything about this...haha....

So for those of you who don't know, one of my closest friends (Jeremy Clark of Northern Gold Custom Coaches) was asked to write an article for 944 Magazine about "Life of the Road"...well, Jeremy is the king of road stories, and my friends and I are fasinated with the situations this man finds himself in while he is miles from home. I thought he was the perfect canidate for this "fly on the wall" commentary and was so flattered that I got to photograph him for this publication.

The article was published online first, so I was able to view the photographs that they had picked to print...oh yeah, and read the article! Which, by the way, was written quite well!!

This was the first of two magazine publications I had photographed for in a two month time span(The other being Indianapolis Dine thanks to Kris Kraut @ Sycamore Farms!)....I was anxious to see the final results and if you are interested in taking a peek at them, just let me know!

Lifestyle | McCormick Family

Well, I think we picked the hottest day of the year to take photos outside, but the results came out very nice! I recently met the McCormick family through a referral from a previous wedding client...I love it when this happens because I know that I'm doing my job well if people are spreading the good word about my photography...

ha! As you can see they were tons of fun to work with and I look forward to shooting with them in June of 2008 for their son's wedding!

Wedding | Kara & Keith

Kara & Keith know how to throw a party! The Ohio Building was the venue for their Indiana reception after their tropical wedding that was held a few weeks prior in St. Lucia.

The Ohio Building is a fairly new (2005ish) reception location that is quickly becoming a saught out venue for local brides... and if you could see the amazing rennovation that has occured in the past few years to this historic building you would see why! Check out their website to see before and after shots and to check out a little bit of the history.

My very favorite spot in Terre Haute to shoot is downtown...I love the big city feel that it has with all of the buzz going on around, but I still feel that it has it's own special charm that comes through in the photos.

Here are a few shots we got while the party was going on inside...

Here are a few shots of everyone enjoying the party!

This was a fun night!
