Fender Telecaster

While I was working on the post for Mila's first birthday I got an urge to share a little bit about my baby boy Lincoln...

Levi (my husband) has been playing guitar pretty much since we met about 12 years ago, so we thought it would be appropriate to expose Link to the musical side of our lives!

We think that he is a perfect fit!

We hope he follows in his Papa's footsteps...
I wonder what he thinks?

Sprout Session | Mila (1 Year)

"It seems like only yesterday when(insert sentimental memory here)..."

Wow! A year really has flown by for the Mattox family and I have had such a great time documenting some of the major events that have come to pass. Mila turns one year old on August 2nd, so we took off for the park and marked the upcoming occasion with some fun photos to add to the family photo album...

New baby...almost one year ago!

After only a few months...

Christmas 2006...

It certainly is crazy how fast a baby grows in a year...

Happy Birthday Mila!

Wedding | Eyndia & Jake

Jake & Eyndia are two of the greatest people I have had the pleasure of getting to know in the past year. I have known Jake for a long time, having endured the height of the Canterbury Effect shows and getting to know his sister Sara as one of my closest friends. When I found out that I was getting to take their photos for their wedding I was so excited to get started documenting their love story through the lens of my camera!

We started with an engagement set at Highland Lawn Cemetery, which to some may seem a little odd, but if you knew the beauty that was contained in this historic local landmark, you would understand the idea behind the location (it also was where the couple became officially engaged!)...here are a few shots from our session.

Another detail I should mention is that the wedding was set to take place at 12:01AM on 07.07.07 and was a private ceremony to take place at a undisclosed (outdoor)location. Needless to say, I had the honor of spending the entire day with the couple and their family. The day started with a "pre-ception" full of food, celebrating and music to prepare everyone for the memorable moment that was to end the day and it was great to spend time with everyone involved in the couples lives.

This leads us to The Red Door...another location that was important to Eyndia to have photographed on her wedding day. My job was made so easy by Jake & Eyndia because they wanted their photographs to be significant of their love story...all I had to was set up the shot! I feel that their photographs will always spark specific memories for them and anyone who knows the details of their journey together as a couple...

Thanks to the couple for letting me share in wedding events and for having the important duty of documenting the love you share! Best wishes for the future!!
