Carrie (a side note~)

So, on Monday I had a FABULOUS time shooting my (long-time) friend Carrie! We were shooting a Boudoir session in Brazil Indiana at The McKinley Bed & Breakfast (more on that later...images and story!)

We had so much fun that day and on the way out of the B & B we looked at each other and could read each other's minds...the setting outside of the McKinley house was too perfect for some outdoor shots....there was a wooden tree swing and an old barn that was calling our names....Here are some quick shots!

Why are barns so intriquing??

Fun! More images coming soon....I just had to at least put these out there for the world to see :)

Sprout Session | Andie (3 Months)

Baby Andy is sooooo cute!

She truly was such a doll! It was really great to spend some time with Jamie and Devin and get to know baby Andy (Andrea) a little better...

We started out in her bedroom for a quick touch up (ie. diaper change!) before she was ready for the camera~

And then she showed me how cool her crib was...

...and some of her awesome toys!

And we spent a little time with mom and dad too~

This was a blanket that was made special just for her!

Oh, I LOVE squishy babies!

Perfect baby skin...perfect!

Thank you so much for having me over to photograph Andy! I absoluetly adore her and I love her name...it makes me think of the girl from the Goonies! fun fun!!

Here is a fun video from one of the best movies of all time...Andy is super cute red-head "love interest"...

Oh, and what do you think of the new overlay?? I'm trying to find something a little less overwhelming while still identifying my work...any thoughts??

Veils...

I have stumbled upon a very wonderful website this evening...

This website is full of custom designed veils, headbands, combs, brooches and more...They have perfected the combination of classic and modern style!

I love the vintage inspired look and the classic feel of these accessories...They are sure to make any bride feel stunning and beautiful! I'm in LOVE with the 'French Veil'! It makes me want to get married all over again so that I can create a dream veil of my very own...sigh.

This company provides contact info on their website for inquiries and orders...They also provide a list of retail locations so that you can purchase their merchandise off the shelf! Take a look~

They also have a blog...

So, all of my brides! Go buy a beautiful French Veil so that I can take some fantastic, vintage inspired photos of you on your wedding day~ (It was worth a shot anyway, huh??)

OSP Indy!

So, It has been a few weeks ago, but I still wanted to post some of my images from a workshop that I attended...

We got to do a really fun creativity challenge where we divided into groups and set out on a mission to photograph a folding chair. We could do anything with it...the only requirements were that it had to contain the chair and at least one person...

We went to the Circle in Downtown Indy for some shots...Here are some of the lovely photographers that were in my group...

The lovely Michelle Ross

And the Poker King...Nate Reynolds

This Cowboy wanted nothing to do with us and our cameras!

We also visited the Mavris (which is a stunning event hall)...I love the atmosphere of this place! Tons of brides choose this as a wedding location~ We all were able to practice shooting in various lighting situations with the guidance of some very talented photographers...here are a few images I captured :)

Thanks to all of the people who made this possible! I was really glad and fortunate to be a part of it :) I met MANY wonderful photographers and I soaked in so much valuable information...I can't wait to see you guys again in the near future~

It's gonna happen!

This is just for fun!

My brother-in-law showed me this when he and my sister were in town....They are expecting their first child in June and my sister Sondra is TOTALLY grossed out by baby puke~ Lincoln puked in her presence once and I thought she was going to loose it :)

I can't stop laughing at this video...This is dedicated to all of my pregnant friends!

Engagement | Michelle & Jared

So, I'm officially the biggest fans of Michelle & Jared! I love them~ I had such a great time with them during their E~Session....

We shot their Engagement Session in West Lafayette Indiana, which you should all know, is the home of Purdue University! We hit so many locations that were fun and really personal to them...starting with Michelle's room which is so colorful and full of life...it really set the mood for the day and I was really inspired by all of the vintage objects she has collected (I think we are soul sisters!)

We also made it to the Union, which is where Jared told me that he confessed to Michelle that he liked her for the first time....aww...too SWEET~

There is a 50's style diner in the Union called "Pappy's"...it was too perfect to pass up! Michelle and Jared said that it's a tradition for couples to share a milkshake there....but they had NEVER done it! So we did and I caught it all on film..rr..digital...rr...I captured the moment!

The crazy thing about meeting Michelle is that she is attending Purdue and studying Industrial Design, which is the exact same degree that Levi (my husband) acquired while attending college there. Now, I know that this doesn't sound that uncommon, but when Levi was in school the Industrial Design program was still small in size...I think his graduating class was under 10 students. So when we found out this little detail, Levi was excited to head back to Purdue for a visit!

As Levi and I were heading into town for the shoot, a bank that I had passed a million times traveling back and forth from Purdue to visit Levi caught my eye...I told Levi that I wanted to get some images there and he told me that the bank (Purdue State Bank) was actually designed by an industrial designer named Louis H. Sullivan (who was a teacher of Frank Lloyd Wright!), once I found out that little tidbit of knowledge it was confirmed that we were shooting there! What a perfect way to incorporate Industrial Design in their shoot without it coming off cheesy!

And some fun Scrabble shots at the coffee shop across the street~ Jared's ring has a bit of a love story behind it, but I'll leave that up to them to share ;) Super Romantic!

A few downtown shots before we headed over to the studio...

yay! This is Michelle's computer :) It is actually right across from where Levi used to work! It was a little surreal to be there...Levi spent SO much time there in college and I used to come up and visit every chance I got when we were dating! It's funny how things change, but really stay the same in a lot of ways too...

And a model that she made (a candle holder!)...I think it's so fun to see something that starts as an idea transform into a finished product that someone creates with their own hands!

There are a ton of other pictures I could have shared, but I'll keep it short! Please take a look at Michelle & Jared's Slide Show and let me know what you think!

oh, and Christoper Walken was there for the photo shoot too...I love him.
