Lifestyle | Wernz Family

This Smith Family is actually a small section (or pod...the word we used when setting up for our large group shots!) of the Wernz family. I know various members of these families through my journey as a photographer (Greg -black shirt, far left of the first photo - and I used to work together at Galloway's a local photography store and print lab...I think he could be a double for Harrison Ford~Indiana Jones style~!) and the Smith "pod" frequented the coffee shop I worked for as well! So...I have known different members of the larger group for quite a while! I love getting to see old friends:)

This family had a special request for me to do some shots similar to some on my website with a picture frame. We had tons of fun with these shots...There were a few that I was dying to post, but I had to tell myself that they wouldn't be appropriate to post online for all of the world wide web to view!! Haha...you can only use your imagination with this group ~ crazy crazy!!

Here are a few more shots of the "Smith" pod:)

Lifestyle | Smith Family

Let me just begin by saying...I have been crazy busy taking photos~ And I LOVE it!!

Last weekend I had 4 "Smith" photoshoots...(What's a "Smith" photoshoot you ask?) Well, let me explain:

On Saturday I had booked a family session with Smith family #1

This was a fun set that we shot out at St. Mary of the Woods College in Terre Haute, IN. I'll have to say, St. Mary's has one of the most beautiful campuses I've seen...It's very calm and inviting and absolutely gorgeous this time of year.

We had some fun exploring to find out what we could utilize as a family photo setting...and we came up with some really fun shots!

Maycie was a little shy at first, but big brother Tristan was what she needed to bring her out of her shell... and once she started moving we couldn't keep up!

We just couldn't resist getting these shots of the "cool older brother" & "little sis"!

And a little bit of alone time for mom and dad to end our little adventure!

Engagement | Ashli & Jon

Ashli and Jon are getting married in December! I had such a great time photographing them for their engagement photos...We headed over to Anderson Orchard in Mooresville, IN to have a little adventure a few weeks ago and we had a blast!

The orchard was such a great place to spend the day...there was a very wide assortment of fruits and nuts you can pick year round (depending on the time of year). It was fun to go exploring and find some fun and romantic spots to photograph Jon and Ashli...

Jon and Ashli have a wonderful and playful relationship and I think that it really came out in the photos that we took! You can just see that they are having fun and really enjoy each other...They made it really easy for me to capture their personalities with my camera. When we were finished taking photos, Ashli confessed that she was nervous to have her photo taken before we got started but that it was so fun that she loosened up almost immediately and really enjoyed the time we took out of the weekend to capture these moments. I was happy too!!

I just can't get over how great they look! They are just too adorable...I can't wait for their wedding...I just know that all of their photographs will be stunning!

Engagement | Heather & Barry

I love shooting engagement sessions! They are the perfect opportunity for me to really get to know the couple before their wedding day...and it really sets us up
for a comfortable experience when the day finally arrives!

Heather and Barry are, yet again, friends from High School...well, Heather is...Barry is new the the picture for me! I've known Heather FOREVER!! I have some vague memories of a summer art school that we both were a part of in elementary school...wow! It seems as though 27 years old is the time to get married for everyone I know! Crazy??

They have had quite a time booking all of the events of their wedding so far and they have just recently settled on a venue. Heather and Barry have chosen to be married in The White Chapel at Rose Hulman in Terre Haute. This is one of my favorite places to shoot in town. There is a great wall of glass windows overlooking a lake that the stage of the sanctuary is "floating" over. It is absolutely beautiful, especially in the fall!

I love how playful and fun they are together...it made for some great candid shots of them...I can't wait for the wedding!

We also really wanted to shoot some photos at the 24 hour prayer chapel downtown, but as you can see...it really isn't open 24 hours! We missed out on the art on the inside of the building, but I think we made the outside work just as well!

I love the huge red doors...

Engagement |Elisha & Isaiah...

I'm so happy with the results of this photo shoot! Elisha & Isaiah were awesome...We wandered around downtown Terre Haute and got tons of shots to help tell their love story (which was discussed afterwards over some delicious Mexican food...)

It's crazy how similar their story is to ours! They have known each other since they were little kids...elementary school...they have old photos of them together and knew each other all through out up until the end of high school. It wasn't until after school was over that their romance started to bud and develop into, not only a friendship, but true love ~sigh~

I couldn't resist taking these lens flare photos...I think I ALWAYS seem to take this kind of shot at evening photo shoots! but I love them! and these came out especially 70's style....

Engagement | Amy & Matt

It's been a little while since I've posted any work...but that's because I've been out shooting photos! ~Whoo Hoo!~

Amy and Matt are getting married the first weekend in October and we had to hurry up and get their engagement photos shot before they were no longer "engaged"...

Matt didn't seem to have any problems puckering up for our photo shoot! Which made for a lot of very romantic photos...

Here are a few of my favorites...I love that you can tell that they are in love...Can't you just see it??

Amy's lovely daughter had the duty of being my "assistant" for the photo shoot and we couldn't let her go without getting a few shots of her with mom! Besides, she was all dressed up!!
