Sprout Session | Sprout (3 Months)

Yes~ Scout from the timeless classic "To Kill a Mockingbird" by Harper Lee...This was a book that Tiffany loved as a child and thus named her baby girl after the lead female character from the book ~ And it's just a super cute name!

Baby Scout is only a few months old and is already showing similarities to the character she was so lovingly named after...Scout was a strong willed and independent girl and I can already see that this new baby is following the same footsteps...or she will once she learns to walk~ She is expressive with her facial movements and determined to get what she wants...you know, milk...diaper changes...and to be held! You see....This is really all she knows at this point!

It was such a fun time photographing Scout and spending time with Tiffany! They are such a great mother/daughter duo and I have to admit I'm a bit jealous of all of the girly stuff they will get to do together as Scout grows up!...Oh and I can't forget to mention Clay~ he wasn't able to be there for the photoshoot, but I'm sure dad will enjoy these preview images of his baby girl!

You can't forget the cute bow!

Lifestyle | Major Family

This post is a collection of small sets from the Major's Family portrait session...We were able to grab some fun shots at Deming Park in Terre Haute on a day when the weather was in our favor, which can be a difficult task with it being a Midwest winter~ The weather is so unpredictable!

I had fun meeting all of the people in the Major's Family! (I think the head count was 26~)...I chose some great shots from our session to show that I do take traditional portraits~ From my past few posts, some may begin to wonder ;-) Hopefully this will put your mind at ease if you are searching for a nice formal family photo!

I get to take this cute couple's wedding photos this summer! Yay~ I love how my job is like a family tree! If I made a map of my clients, that is exactly what it would look like~

And of course, a few fun shots~

Lifestyle | Lori & Craig

Here is another set of images of a couple that is NOT engaged, however, Lori & Craig are happily married~ AND are expecting their first child this summer!

I'm so excited that they are having a baby! Now Lincoln will have a buddy to teach everything he has learned in his 11 months of life!...The other day I was counting how many of my friends are pregnant at the moment, and I came up with 5! I think that's a lot...and it's so exciting! I can't wait for all of the new babies to arrive, I will be so busy taking photos of brand new bundles of joy~

The next few images are really fun...We went to downtown Terre Haute and found a great back alley to get some of these shots...We wanted something very urban and deteriorated...I think it's a great contrast to how gorgeous they both are! Just imagine how adorable a mini-Lori or mini-Craig is going to be!

This last shot is of Lori & Craig's current babies(but not for long!). Their Chihuahuas were so great that day...They gave their photo set a lot of "character"! You can see more images on their slide show HERE~

Congratulations on your pregnancy! I look forward to meeting the new baby~

Lifestyle | Jess & Brook

Jess & Brook are not officially engaged...I just thought I would throw that out there to begin with...I don't want to be the responsible party for any rumors that may end up circulating~ But I did want to share some images from our photo session!

We took a trip to the grounds of the Terre Haute Country Club to get these great fall shots! The day was perfect for taking outdoor photos...I just love how the colors came out~

We had some great fall leaves to work with too, so I decided to try some panning shots of them walking....I had them walking up and down this little lane to capture some fun motion...How did I do??

And my famous "headless" shot...I don't know why I love them so much! I think a photograph can tell a story even without someone's facial expression...but don't worry...I don't take all of my photos without heads...Just one or two!

Thanks to Jess & Brook for being up for all of my ideas!...a lot of people don't realize, but it's a workout having a photo session with me :) I had them climbing trees and running on hills...but the images were definitely worth it!

I had trouble narrowing the selection down to the images I posted on this blog...I loved them ALL! You can view all of them on their slide show....HERE! enjoy

Baby Got Back...

Meet Lincoln....
(my soon to be 1 year old!)

One day he will be either mad or embarrassed that these images exist....

Until then, we can all just smile at how cute he is!

Engagement | Allana & Joel

This engagement session was such a special event! I had the pleasure of photographing Allana & Joel's wedding in 2007. It was such a beautiful ceremony on such a beautiful day. It took place at the Sycamore Hills Golf Club in Paris Illinois and what made it so beautiful was not the surroundings (which were gorgeous!), but it was the emotion that was behind everything that happened that day.

Allana & Joel only had a short amount of time after the ceremony to spend together before Joel had to leave his new wife to fulfill his military responsibilities. Not only did they have a short amount of time to spend together afterward, Allana and Joel hardly got to see each other before the wedding for the same reason. Joel arrived in town only a day or two before the wedding and it was questionable if he was to arrive on time because of the unpredictable military schedule. Thankfully everything worked out as planned and the wedding and reception festivities went on with great success and so much emotion...I have to say it was one of my FAVORITE weddings of 2007 because they were not just "going through the motions" of having a wedding...They were getting married!

This post does not contain images from their wedding, but you can view their Wedding Slide Show that is to the song of their first dance.

This post contains images from their "engagement" session! Which in reality is actually a portrait session of a happy married couple...we had a very special and unexpected opportunity to get together again to photograph this session...Please take a look at Allana & Joel's portrait Session Slide Show ~

Allana & Joel, I'm so happy that I have met you and had the honor of photographing such a special and truly emotional event. You are such a wonderful example of what love is and I wish you all the best~
