Sprout Session | Kristin + Baby 'C' (Maternity)

Less than 3 weeks to go for Kristin!

I could not believe how well she was moving about with all of my requests to sit on the floor, lay on your back, etc. etc.! She was AWESOME!! I wanted to make sure that she didn't do anything to make her the least bit uncomfortable! I was totally jealous of how amazing she looked (with only 4 weeks to go!) and how comfortable she moved about!! Kristin you ROCK!!








After our mini indoor session, we headed outdoors with Codee! Daddy-to-be!

Again, I can't tell you how much I love Indiana with all of it's bean fields and scenery....We were right in the middle of it all and had to take advantage!

Sprout Session | Jay (1 Year)

Baby Jay is now a year old! How exciting!!

I love shooting Lifestyle Sessions in the clients home, especially when it revolves around the 'Sprout' of the family! It's warm and cozy and familiar and it ALWAYS makes for great and natural expressions!!



Jay was having a bit of a rough day because he was teething, so the beginning of the session was a lot of cuddles and hugs...



Even though Baby Jay was not very happy about getting his picture taken at the beginning (obviously!) his parents ADORE this picture! It was a bit of a stretch for me to include this in their proof sets because a lot of parents only want the cute-cuddly-smiley images to remember their growing child...I just loved it and thought that it was a great memory and when I showed it to Jay's parents and family, Jay's mom said..."That's exactly what he looks like when he's upset!"....(Plus, I thought it was ADORABLE too!)



Yay! Happy Family :-)









I love living in the Midwest! Great 'country' backdrops everywhere you turn....Especially with the Peterson Family~ Dad farms for a living and had a few special request of his own! Corn fields, tractors and overalls!













Baby Jay & Family!! I had so much fun shooting with you! I hope that we can do it some time again in the near future! Maybe we need to think about creating some fun Christmas cards for this year??

Recently I was hired by the wonderful Shelby Clinkenbeard to photograph some of her wonderfully delicious treats for a new website and promo material!

All I can say is YUMTOWN!! (that phrase has been copyrighted by me by the way! I think I said is a baaaagillion times while I was shooting all of these yummies!!)

Shelby is the owner. baker. dreamer of "Harriette's Bake Shop" located in Clinton Indiana. She specializes in tasty treats for events (think showers, birthday jams & wedding goodies buffets!) and delivers to Terre Haute and the surrounding areas.















Harriett's also offers a full menu of Espresso drinks and offers Organic Fair Trade Coffee provided by Equal Exchange!

Sprout Session | Scout (6 months)

Scout is pretty much the cutest thing I've ever seen! Her mom has 'signed' her up for the First Year Sprout Sessions...and these are some of my favorites from her 6 Month Session!



I actually made some business cards from this one! I love me some baby drool~

Sally Rogers | The Gate Keeper

Downtown Terre Haute is really starting to bloom with all of the improvements made to area....New buildings, a wonderful Children's Museum in the works and an expanding Arts Corridor!

The newest art installment is actually the entrance to Corridor and is located on the grounds of the Vigo County Public Library on the corner of 7th & Poplar. The title of the piece is "The Gate Keeper" and was designed, built and installed by artist Sally Rogers.  I truly enjoy listening to artists speak about their art and what inspires them....Learn all about Sally and her art by clicking HERE.


Mary Kramer, Executive Director of Art Spaces, also spoke about the piece installed by Sally and how the sculpture represents the beginning and entrance to the Arts Corridor. The City of Terre Haute has been working with Art Spaces to create outdoor public artwork for the community.









Andrew Conner & Todd Nation also spoke at the ribbon cutting ceremony (along with other members related to revitalizing Downtown Terre Haute).









It is always such a pleasure to be a part of the growing art community in Terre Haute! I can't wait for the next sculpture to be installed~
